Please join us for the opening reception for Aidron Duckworth Exhibition XXXIII - ABSTRACTION AND THE INFINITE PLANE an exhibition devoted to Duckworth’s abstract works. Known mostly as a figurative painter, Duckworth took respite from figuration to explore abstraction, pattern-making, and abstracted portraiture in exciting and inventive ways. In this lesser-known work, forms, borrowed from the physical world become motifs of repetition expanding beyond the page into the endless plane of the minds eye. Linked in many ways to Duckworth’s concept of consciousness, a viewer can feel these works stretch the confines of the visual world into the depths of imagination. These pieces appear as windows, tunneled portals that give just enough information so to tease the larger universe into which a viewer peers.
